Enquiry Visits
‘School to School’ Research Enquiry Visits: 12 month programme
This is an exciting, bespoke offer in response to requests from Head Teachers and Senior Leaders of established EdTransform schools.
The aim of the visits is to allow schools in partnership to share and to explore all aspects of school improvement and innovation including culture, vision, leadership and pedagogy. The process is an innovative and disciplined collaborative enquiry. It is based on effective research into enquiry ‘school to school’ learning conducted by the Innovation Unit in ‘Looking to Learn: Creating accounts of Practice’.
Some of the principles include:
- The host school owning the enquiry
- The value of the collaborative enquiry process and shared meaning-making
- The generation of an artefact of value to the host school
- The public outcome that can make the enquiry outcomes of value to the schools of the participants – and the wider network.
An experienced Leadership Coach will facilitate a group of 3 or 4 schools in ‘school-to-school’ visits and virtual meetings over a period of 12 months. Each school will have a bespoke enquiry question depending on the area that the school would like to be explored/challenged and receive feedback on. These enquiry visits will result in powerful learning that will impact in the individual schools taking part, the group of participating schools and the wider system.
