Stephenson Memorial Primary
'Projects pose searching questions that press pupils to think deeply.  Rich discussions in lessons encourage pupils to articulate their thinking and to find solutions to problems.' Ofsted January 2018

Stephenson Memorial Primary School hosts 412 amazing children and 68 members of staff.  It is a very unique and family orientated community, where the personal growth and development of all children and adults lie at the heart of all decision making.

The school is situated in the Riverside ward of North Tyneside, Newcastle Upon Tyne.  The vision and ethos of the school centres around an extremely collaborative learning community, involving all stakeholders.  The statement ‘Leading, Achieving, Believing’ encapsulates the self belief and self drive we instil in all members of our community.  Through the realisation of fulfilling true potential, having continuous high aspirations and preparing for a 21st century world, Life Long Skills are developed to an extremely impressive high standard.

The school has been practising the REAL© Projects pedagogy for five years now, working alongside EdTransform and embracing Challenged Based Learning.  The difference this curriculum approach has made to our children has recently recognised by Ofsted.
